Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Tawaqqa collects, why we collect it, and what rights you have. Tawaqqa is operated by Tawaqqa (support@tawaqqa.com).

1. What we collect

Account details you give us when you register: email address, a display name (player name), first and last name, contact number, date of birth (or age), gender, country, and the team you support. Gameplay data created as you use the app: your match predictions, points, gameweek and season rankings, champion pick, and the leagues you create or join. Technical data: basic app and device information and error logs needed to keep the app running.

2. Why we use it

To create your account, verify your email address and sign you in; to run the game — scoring your predictions and building gameweek, season and league standings; to manage competitions; to show your name and results to other members of leagues you take part in; to keep the game fair and detect abuse; to fix problems and improve the app; and to communicate with you when necessary.

3. What other players can see

Tawaqqa is a competitive game. Your name (or player name), your points, your rank and your scored predictions are visible to other players in the leaderboards and leagues you take part in. Your contact number and date of birth are never shown to other players.

4. Who we share it with

We share your personal data with the service providers who host and run the app on our behalf — in particular Supabase, which provides our database and authentication — and with anyone we are legally required to disclose it to. We may also share certain basic information — such as your name, phone number, age and gender — with sponsors, commercial partners or other third parties for marketing, commercial or service-related purposes; by using the app and accepting this policy, you consent to such sharing.

5. Where it is stored and how it is protected

Your data is stored in our Supabase database and may be processed on servers outside your country. Access is restricted by database security rules, so players can only read the data the game is meant to show them. We take reasonable measures to protect your data, but no electronic storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your account and gameplay data for as long as your account is active, and otherwise for as long as necessary to provide the services or comply with legal or operational requirements. If you ask us to delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data, except anything we must keep for legal reasons.

7. Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data, or to withdraw your consent, by contacting support@tawaqqa.com. You may also have the right to complain to a data-protection authority in Kuwait.

8. Children

Tawaqqa is not intended for anyone under 14. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under that age, we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy at any time. If we make material changes we will let you know in the app. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.

The Tawaqqa website

This section applies to the tawaqqa.com website only, not the app. The website is a static informational site hosted by Netlify, whose servers record standard access logs (such as IP address and pages requested) in order to serve and secure the site. The site itself sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising trackers. Your language choice (English or Arabic) is stored only in your browser's local storage and is never sent to us.
